Parks and Reserves
The Western Shores of Pittwater back onto Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has responsibility for this park as well as Elvina Point at the southern tip of Elvina Bay, and Woody Point at the southern tip of Morning Bay.
The lower Western Shores has four Council Reserves, Elvina Park, Rocky Point, Lovett Reserve and Coopers Point Reserve. Council also has responsibility for significant bushland on local tracks and trails.
There are 103 bushland reserves in Pittwater totalling 330ha in size. Our reserves contain a diversity of vegetation and habitat types from coastal headland communities to Wetlands, sandstone heath and Eucalypt woodlands.
