Northern Beaches Council has, this week, commenced consultation on the Hawkesbury Nepean River System Coastal Management Program (CMP).
This initiative is a partnership between local and state government agencies to support the coordinated management and sustainable development of the Hawkesbury Nepean River system, (including the Pittwater estuary).
The CMP will assist with various actions including; addressing coastal hazard risks, preserving habitats, encouraging sustainable development in the coastal zone, improving recreational amenity and adapting to population growth and climate change.
Given the significance of the Pittwater estuary to our community, a number of pop-up consultation sessions will be conducted in September and October. During these sessions the project team will be available to answer questions and discuss the details of the CMP.
Please see the following link to the project webpage for more information, including details on how to provide feedback.
